Meneses said that those who were mobilized to Choroní, the vast majority "was a result of the celebration of the Feast of fishermen held in Chuao," because the congregation of people was large, according to figures from the Civil Protection. For his part, who traveled to Ocumare de la Costa, was intended to take a short trip to the beach and enjoy the holiday vacation.
The head of civil protection operations in the state, he said that the road leading to the town of Choroni, only presented a rollover accident with a truck carrying fuel, which was quickly attended by the Fire Department, which appeared at the site.
With respect to the road to the Gold Coast town, Meneses said that there have been 5 accidents transit and 5 injured, while on the beach, 7 have been registered or attempted drowning.
